I Love My Street Team!

I recently started a “Street Team,” a group of book lovers who graciously offered to help spread the word about my novels.  Such wonderful women!  I’d love to introduce you to some of them.  

This is Dru, who loves to "muse" about books!

Dru is an avid book reader on who lives on the East Coast. Her day job as a research analyst keeps her in books that she loves to buy and read. Sandra lives just outside Charlotte, North Carolina.  She works as a computer teacher and handles all the bookkeeping for her family’s business.  She’s an avid mystery reader and loves traveling and spending time in the outdoors.

Sabrena runs Book Lovers Haven over at http://taiyouryu.blogspot.com.  She reads, listens to music, writes fanfics and can provide IT troubleshooting. She says she also has a bit of a hair-trigger temper.  (Being Irish, I can relate to that!)

More Books!

Looks like there will be three more Tara Holloway books!  I’m so excited!  We’re hammering out the details now, but it’s looking like there will be a novella between books #3 and #4, with Book #4 coming out in February of 2013 and #5 and #6 following at four-month intervals thereafter.  I can’t wait to get Tara in lots more trouble . . . : )

Armchair Activism Works!

The heroine of my Death and Taxes series, IRS Special Agent Tara Holloway, has a soft spot for animals.  I admit this personality trait is a more than a bit autobiographical.  The great thing about the internet is that it has made it so easy and quick to be an armchair advocate for animals.  And this kind of advocacy works! 

Many animal welfare groups have automated email subscriptions for people who’d like to be an armchair advocate.  They send you the information, you click a few buttons, and voila!  You’ve made life better for animals!

My hubby and I just returned from an overdue 20th anniversary celebration at the Chocktaw Casino in Oklahoma.  We didn’t bring much cash home, but we did return with a small soap carved in the shape of a buffalo.  It’s only fair that after years of being exploited by the white man’s greed, the Native Americans can now benefit from the white man’s greed, right?  : )  And speaking of winning . . .
