A Couple of Weenies!

Posted May 17 2014

These two Dachshunds are Stanley and Oliver, the lucky dogs who live with Amanda and her family. The first photo shows Oliver and Stanley trying to guilt Amanda into taking them for a walk. Those hopeful faces are pretty darn persuasive, aren’t they? Amanda says that Oliver is the top dog in their house. He’s […]

Madeline and Lobo!

These two buddies are Madeline and Lobo, who belong to Carol Ann, a cowboy poetry fan and avid reader. Madeline is a “bullseye” tabby which means her side markings look like a target. Lobo is a terrier mix who keeps an eye on the street through the window and looks out for bad guys. Thanks for sharing […]

My Adopted Sister

Posted May 15 2014

This furry little Pom belongs to my biggest fan – my mother!  Don’t let the cute face fool you. Amber is a demanding little pain-in-the-*ss. I should know.  I babysit her every time my mom takes a trip to Vegas. Amber keeps me busy the whole time fetching her toys and treats. But I love her anyway! […]

Today we’re featuring Copper (and his jockey, Riley)! These two boys belong to my fabulous web designer, Liz. Liz says that shortly before her 15-year old dog went to the dog park in the sky, she got another hound puppy. They named him Copper after the Fox & the Hound. Foster Family Fun!

Posted May 11 2014

This pack belongs to Angela H. The first two photos are of Darla, a pit bull/terrier mix that Angela fostered. Darla recently found her forever home with a new family. Aren’t happy endings wonderful? Last week, Angela took in a Doberman/shepherd mix named Elivs. (Wait, I thought Elvis was nothing but a hound dog, crying all the […]

Doggie Stylin’!

Posted May 10 2014

Today’s dog joke: Q: How is a dog and a marine biologist alike? A: One wags a tail and the other tags a whale. And now for more puppy love!  This is Berkeley, a Basenji and the beloved pet of my good writing buddy, Hadley Holt. Berkeley had been returned to the animal shelter at […]

This poodle belongs to author Becke Turner. She and her husband adopted Sammy, a Moyen Poodle, from the Carolina Poodle Rescue. Thanks, Becke, for […]

Here’s Copper!

Copper belongs to reader Paula, who lives in the country in Texas. Copper was dumped in front of Paula’s gate and waited there for three days for the creeps to come back and get him, taking the food and water Paula offered but always going back to wait. He finally decided Paula and her hubby were okay, stayed up at […]

Haha! Our terrier mix and shepherd mix are certainly selective, too. They hear "treat" without fail, but "down" or "no!" don't always register. Raggs is such a cute name!

Reggie certainly looks happy! My own dog, Raggs, has "selective" hearing--and he's not well trained. But. Our dogs are family and we do love them.

Thanks, Barbara! I wish I could write faster, too! My ideas are backing up in my head. : ) I wish my brain had a USB port where I could automatically download the stories from my mind to the page. I'm so glad you enjoyed the book! I'm hard at work on the second one, A Trip with Trouble.
  Barbara
I LOVED getaway with Murder. The second book can't be published soon enough. Can you write any faster? ;-)

Thanks so much, Gerrie! So glad you enjoyed the book, and your kind words put a big smile on my face. The second book in the series, A Trip with Trouble, will release next fall. I'm looking forward to it, too!
